It was a hard-fought battle at the start of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, but Epiphany Warriors FC fell short in their opening game, losing 2–1 to a resilient Army Ladies side.

Despite the defeat, Safiatu Salifu showed great determination throughout the match, working tirelessly to create chances for her team. Epiphany Warriors started the game brightly and managed to pull one back after going behind, but Army Ladies’ experience and composure saw them hold on to their lead until the final whistle.

Though the result didn’t go their way, there were positives for Safiatu and her teammates to build on as they look ahead to their next fixture. The journey has just begun, and Epiphany Warriors will be eager to bounce back stronger.
