The Black Queens of Ghana have sealed their qualification to the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco with a commanding 4–0 victory over Egypt at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Star forward Doris Boaduwaa stole the spotlight, netting a sensational hat-trick to guide Ghana to a 7–0 aggregate triumph over the Egyptians.

After a goalless first half, the Queens came alive in the second. In the 52nd minute, Boaduwaa opened the scoring after pressing the Egyptian goalkeeper into a mistake, capitalizing on a clever through pass from Jennifer Cudjoe.

Just three minutes later, Ghana doubled their lead. Grace Asantewaa’s brilliant buildup found Princess Owusu, who unselfishly laid it off for Boaduwaa to slot home her second goal of the night.

The Queens continued to dominate, with Doris coming close again in the 73rd minute, her long-range strike missing the post by inches. But she wasn’t done yet — in stoppage time (92’), Stella Nyamekye delivered a pinpoint pass, and Boaduwaa coolly finished to complete her hat-trick and seal a memorable victory.

The fourth goal came courtesy of Princess Owusu, who added her name to the scoresheet as Ghana wrapped up a thrilling performance in front of their home fans.

With this emphatic win, Ghana qualifies for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, showcasing strength, teamwork, and attacking brilliance.
