Ghana’s Black Queens started their WAFCON qualifying campaign on a high with a commanding 3–0 victory over Egypt in the first leg of the qualifiers.

Forward Doris Boaduwaa continued her fine form, scoring in the 42nd minute before being substituted in the 62nd minute. Her goal gave Ghana the momentum as the team controlled much of the game.

Although Sarah Nyarko was not part of the matchday squad, she continues to play an important role in the team’s preparations and overall campaign.

The return leg is scheduled for Tuesday, 28th October 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:30pm, where the Queens will look to wrap up qualification in front of their home fans.
